Summer Showcase Tour |
People always ask the question, "what happened to Hip-Hop", but the real question is not what happened to it rather, "where did it go"? June 6th 2013 at The Vortex Concert Club Akron found real Hip-Hop on the official kick off of the Ohio Hip Awards Summer Showcase Tour. 8 cities 8 stages and 8 chances to share your gift in the microphone with the people love Hip-Hop as much as you do. In Akron artists and spectators came out to see just what was going on. Being that this was the first leg of the tour it was a presents of amazement in the air and the DJ responsible for air waves was none other than DJ J. Rawls. His master mix of old school and new filled the room with an aura that is unmatched by any other. DJ J. Rawls did his thing on the ones and twos all while pushing his visions of building Ohio Hip-Hop. Every artists that came out to the event had something physical to bring to the table, whether it was a CD, a conversation or Sound Engineering knowledge, the event brought everyone together on one accord. If you were there you would say you found Hip-Hop and the piece of culture that lies in everyone's hearts. Stay tuned in because this was only the beginning look out for 7 other cites and dates.
